Client Directed Home Care (CDHCI) with Delight Home Health Care

What is Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) Program?
The Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) Program, an initiative by Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Alberta Blue Cross, enables eligible clients to access publicly funded home care services through a provider of their choice. Delight Home Health Care is an approved provider under this program, making quality home care services more affordable and accessible.
Through this program, qualified individuals receive funding that can be used to obtain essential home care services from approved providers. Delight Home Health Care is committed to delivering compassionate and professional care tailored to each client’s needs.
What This Means for You
How to Set Up Alberta Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) with Delight Home Health Care
Request an in-home assessment for home care.
An AHS Case Manager (typically a nurse or social worker) will visit to assess your needs and determine your eligibility for publicly funded care.
This option allows you to choose your preferred care provider, such as Delight Home Health Care, while funding is managed through Alberta Blue Cross at a fixed hourly rate.
You’ll be allocated a monthly care budget, based on your assessed needs.
The funds will not be sent to you directly — instead, Delight Home Health Care will invoice Alberta Blue Cross directly for the services provided within your approved hours.
We’ll coordinate your care at the approved AHS hourly rate, ensuring you receive the services you need without any out-of-pocket expense.
Together, we’ll build a personalized care plan tailored to your health and lifestyle.
Once signed, Delight Home Health Care will handle all billing directly with Alberta Blue Cross, so you don’t have to worry about managing invoices or payments.
We’ll take care of submitting your service hours to Alberta Blue Cross and will provide monthly statements for your records.
As long as your services stay within your approved funding, you won’t be charged directly.
